Is uploading your government identification to Parler safe?
Parler Citizens upload their government issued identification to unlock certain features on Parler. We do not keep a copy of your ID, instead we keep a hash of your information in our database. We NEVER share your personal information with third parties. The point of the Citizens program, is that the user prove they are – in fact – human beings and not “bots”. Once you show your ID, we destroy the image.
Red Badges are for Parler Citizens. They are recognized within the community as a real human person – not a bot. Signing up for a red Citizen badge is free, and unlocks many Parler features.
Can I verify my account on my PC or Desktop?
We only support user verification from within Parler’s mobile apps. The apps are available in the Apple and Google Play stores.
Don’t go! But if you must, here’s how.
Currently, there is not a direct messaging feature available. We are working on adding this and it should be ready by September 2019.
What does it mean to “vote” for a post or comment on the Parler app?
Parler allows users to “vote” on content.
When you find something that you think is interesting, or that other users might want to see, click the double chevron vote button in the app. The more votes a piece of content gets, the more users see it in their feed.
